Isn't that empathy for seeing someone in pain even though logically you know it's the right thing to do for you and him both?

Never settle…settling causes you to harbor resentment and once that starts “, it’s very hard to comeback from it. However, what is it that he’s not meeting? Have you told him? Have you given him a chance to correct it and make it right. No one is perfect as we all make mistakes, but if you haven’t told him about it and given him the chance to correct it, that seems a bit brash. Now if you told him and he’s not trying then yes you have that right to move on, especially if he’s not trying.

However, if he’s a good man & he’s trying and he is working, helping out with the house chores, and the kids (should you have any, especially if they’re not his) & building you up as his partner and encouraging you to be your best self & makes an effort with your friends and family, just remember a lot of men refuse to do that and you probably won’t be able find another man like that. Just be sure you’re bringing to the table what you expect your man to bring, relationships are 50/50
