I have a high-energy Boxer. She wants to play all the time & has had to be taught that calm, quiet time is also a thing. I have a small rug by my desk chair, and I do regular sessions with her on the leash beside me. No toys, no external stimulation. She is not allowed to leave the rug but otherwise I’m not giving attention. She quickly learned to curl up & relax beside me. Once she learned that I began offering a chew bone during those times as well if she wanted, and she will happily chew. 1/
