i think it's totally wild that only a decade and a half ago, we pretty much only used social networks to connect with people we already knew irl. god forbid you accepted a friend request from a random stranger back then. and now it is nearly the complete opposite - we're meeting, connecting, and socializing with complete strangers across the world on the internet. >>>>
