Womens Healthcare This is a story of two surgeries. Mine and my husband’s. Weirdly enough we had somewhat similar surgeries two months apart in the same hospital. My husband had surgery with a vertical scar from navel downward to remove a bit of colon from chrons disease. I had a vertical scar from navel downward to remove two huge external fibroids and a hysterectomy. This is to say that while different, the amount of cutting and removal was very similar. Initial stay was 3 days but was quickly extended to a week because he didn’t feel ready to go. Nurses answered call bell quickly. My stay. Even thought it was an extensive surgery where I even needed a transfusion I was put in the maternity ward. IV pain meds were removed after one night. I was sent home the third day with not even asking if I was ready. Which I wasn’t. The call button would take up 2/3
7 小時內	Stef McFall sma.mcfall	Honestly, I would recommend bringing this concern to your doctor. It may help you to have the medical explanation of why you were discharged when you were. If your hospital has it, contact their patient experience coordinator/department. Contact their DEI department too. Good hospitals take these perspectives and feedback seriously. It may come down to the cultures of the nursing units. General surgery units and OB/GYN units are vastly different for multiple reasons
