The CW is on its way out of scripted programming business. Nexstar only wants reality shows, live sports, foreign shows, co-production, and nothing else. It become too expensive and unprofitable. S&L didn't fit the cheap unscripted business model that the network wanted. So, it was cut. WBD also cited that the show didn't fit what had vision in James Gunn DCU. They aren't allowed to have 2 superman in TV and Movies running at the same time.
