Received a long angry email from a student this morning because I told her she can no longer redo an assignment from two months ago. Apparently I have been wasting students’ time by working out problems on the whiteboard, and should have simply pasted solutions in my slides instead. A day in the life of a university professor 🤷🏻‍♀️

They declined saying they wouldnt be coming to class that week. I then saw they had barely come at all the entire term or even bothered to reach out before the last week of the semester. It was a no, sorry from me.

I cried nights out trying to understand whats wrong with my ability to explain because I cant just call them lazy for doing literally all-these-forementioned-things. Looks like its universal students/human flaw - being reckless :)
