I’ve learned that technical skill only matters if you need it to reach your own personal goals. Some really successful art is very basic stuff, but it’s not about how challenging is, it’s about whether or not it resonates with the viewer ~ Goals for the new year? To be the artist one must be the art; to be the artist IS to be the art.
