Yeah, Fiyero is completely different in the musical/movie from the book. He’s (usually) white, not culturally distinct, super un-serious, doesn’t have a wife in the Vinkus or actual responsibility as prince. I dont mind all the ways that he’s a fundamentally different character, but I wished they would have un-whitewashed him in the movie. Fiyero being popular because he’s considered “exotic” and fetishized would be another example of Shiz reacting to difference in problematic ways
