From a Muslim perspective, Muhammad and Jesus have similar roles and are not in competition. Muhammad is the final prophet to guide humanity, while eternal life in Islam is granted by God based on faith and deeds. Jesus is also highly respected in Islam as a prophet who preached monotheism. Both prophets are seen as part of a continuum of guidance from God, with the ultimate goal of leading people to worship one God and live righteously. Eternal life comes from God, not any individual prophet.

Abu bakr el sadik said on the day the prophet Mohamed (pbuh)died "whom worshiped mohamed, then mohamed is dead , and whom worships allah then allah is everlasting and undying" All the prophets are human , and death is a right written upon us , only the almighty allah is everlasting and undying

Both Jesus and Mohamed are humans and can not give iternal life to any one by themselves, only God gives eternal life
