Nuanced Opinion: some men are, some men aren't, it's all down to preference and what you're looking for in a partner. Strong and independent are great qualities for both men and women to have. As long as it isn't avoidance and insecurity masquerading as strength and independence: here be dragons - for me anyway... I tend to chase validation from people like that, when it's all hot/cold, push/pull. It's crazy making and bad for me.
