If you look at most shows mostly TV commercials in the last 5 years, you almost never see an entire darker skinned black family cast. If the husband/father is black( usually dark skinned) the wife/mom is white or racially ambiguous. And the children are also racially ambiguous. If there is black woman cast, there usually no husband/ father but she will always have children.
