As a woman who would never feel comfortable going to a male OBGYN what makes other woman comfortable seeing them? It’s not just about having a male stranger all up in my coochie, but that as a man he cannot relate to my issues because he doesn’t experience what it is to be a woman. Would you feel comfortable going to a male OBGYN?

Should a cardiologist be deemed more reputable after suffering a heart attack? Does a psychiatrist need first hand experience of how scary schizophrenia is? A doctor is no less qualified because he’s male. You’re free to have a personal preference for a female physician because you’re uncomfortable, but not “because he can’t relate”

The women who had attended me were zero emphatic, rude and fully disrespectful, even when I started to had gynaecological issues since 12 years old. At this day I have five years with the same male OBGYN. I fully trust him and I’m very happy with his attentions because is very sweet and emphatic, I can even usually joke with him about my health issues…

一天內	Effe Di Emme fio_de_min	For me it's about professionalism. If you're professional and studied for this field, you are qualified enough to be an obgyn and visit me. I have been once to a male one and it was the best experience ever, he believed me 100%, did every single possible exam to ensure he was correct and he even had a female assistant to ensure I would feel comfortable at all times. At the end of the day what matters is how good the doctor is, not his gender
