I just found out this morning that my 88-year-old mother voted for Trump. I have no idea where to put this. We’re supposed to go on vacation with them next year, but I’m not sure I can. She’s getting old, and I need to see her, but I don’t know if I can overlook this. Tomorrow’s her birthday, and I always call, but now I don’t want to. Any suggestions?

That maybe you can forgive her in some capacity some day. But, that she hurt you on multiple levels. Including economically and your own safety and security. Along with your mental and physical health. That you believe she turned her back on her country. You don’t understand where she is coming from but you hope she can see the truth someday

You see my mom and I had our differences. There were times I missed spending holidays ect. with her because of these differences. While it’s been over 20 years since my mom passed away, I still think back and realize the precious time and memories I missed with her because of some silly differences. Just my thoughts…I hope it’s helpful. 🌼😊🌼
