Many decades ago, my mom taught me how to sew. Ten years ago, my 11-year old stepdaughter asked me to help her sew a costume! I happily and enthusiastically bought a simple machine and taught her some basics. My mom would have been so proud! A couple days ago, she texted to tell me that she is gifting a gently used machine to someone and is planning to teach them to sew. As a stepmom, this a big deal on so many levels. 🥰🥰🥰
