There are low cost spay and neuter placed as well, typically your local shelters will list days they perform these services. However, they are “this expensive” because they’re getting pre-anesthetic bloodwork, IVC placement, and continuous monitoring by a vet tech the entire procedure. The low cost places just put your pet under, do the procedure, wake them up. You’re paying for quality medicine. Whatever you decide for your pet is your decision, just make an EDUCATED one 🤍

Look up friends of animals.

That is CHEAP! It’s a whole anesthesetic procedure! A doctor and/or technician is dedicated to your pet before, during and after surgery. For $300, you’re getting a deal 😒 *Also, pets are a luxury, not a privilege. 😚

A lot of times animal shelter will offer discounted desexing. I had a pit bull mix a few years ago and they neutered him for free. And when checking on prices to neuter our Dane/masiff, the shelter charged $110 vs normal vets $350-600.
