Yes it is now more expensive to buy goods from the western countries, but it also more profitable to sell oil and gas in $, Russian economy is built on that, and then you can pay your people pensions, salaries etc in rubbles in the same time selling LESS oil than you used to sell. And Russian rubble is clearly undervalued right now and will bounce back soon
