Fun fact: a lot of the spaces where men felt free to be “nerdy” used to be (and still sometimes are) unsafe for young women. We were just as into Star Wars 30 years ago as we are now, but for safety reasons as a teenage girl I avoided them for the same reason I had to use “DukeFett” as my game handle to avoid harassment- at THIRTEEN years old. Treat women with respect and we can be more openly geeky for you.
