I absolutely agree with you! I came from a background with a heavy emphasis on scripture which sadly de-emphasized the spirit, and communion with christ. Now, as an adult, I'm learning slowly how to listen to Jesus in prayer and bask in his presence. All with a mind full of scripture. I have loads of criticism for my fundamental independent bapbaptist background, but I am so thankful it taught me to love the Bible.
