What many don't seem to understand is assault is based on consent. If we consent to beat the shit out of each other then it's not assault. If someone touches me deliberately without consent it's assault, if it is accidental then it's not. Of course this has a large grey area for bad actors, but hold your ground, not only was it assault, it was sexual assault which carries higher penalties.
