Benchmark indices, which started flat in the morning, are currently trading in heavy losses. Nifty fell 350 points to 23,920 and Sensex lost 1660 points to 79,070. Due to this, the investors lost Rs.4 lakh crores. This is due to high US inflation, expectations that the US Fed will reduce aggressiveness in interest rate cuts, and selling in heavyweights.
