I moved to the US in 2014 and the first thing I noticed was the way some white people make eye contact with black people. The way they look says it all - it's just assumptions and prejudice, zero curiosity and compassion. It's crazy. The first friends I made here were black, I wouldn't speak a lick of English if it wasn't for their patience. Don't leave.
