In 2018 my first car was a 1984 Toyota Celica Supra that I put back together myself. It had no heat or working windshield wipers. Crashed it into curbs and nearly flipped it sliding into a ditch. Without that car I would’ve been soft and not mechanically inclined. And here I am still alive today.

Got rear ended in my '99 Outback at 70 mph, years ago (failure of following driver to slow for stopping traffic). Knocked the rear bumper off its clips a little. Once let the tires go a little too long, understeered on an exit ramp and slid into the ice and snow built up next to the concrete wall. Zero damage. Tell me you have little to no experience with these cars or those of similar vintage, without telling me.

I had one of these. Tboned a 2010 Honda Civic (my fault completely, rip my insurance). Totalled out the Civic and I had a small dent in my bumper and fender. Kept driving it until the engine blew (which also happens all the time in newer cars)

Your kids are spoiled. Lmao. I bought my first car 97 civic. It was literally the best car I bought. Super easy to fix by myself. I wasn’t that mechanical inclined but I figured how to do it. Scrapped due to rust.
