This Thanksgiving, there’s a special new member at lvmpd_dtac Officer Kevin Borja’s table—a rescued pup named Theodore. Back in June, on a blistering 110-degree plus day, Ofc. Borja was flagged down near 3rd Street and Carson for a heartbreaking situation: a puppy locked inside a sweltering vehicle. Acting quickly, Ofc. Borja and his partner saved the pup, who was in distress from the extreme heat.
