1/🧵An NHS Thread Background info: my dad (78) is awaiting TAVI, he’s had symptoms for 2 yrs but only got on the waiting list in Sept (which is another story.) Monday Eve: blacks out, falls. Patches himself up, goes to bed. Tuesday 10am: follows TAVI team instructions & calls 999 12pm: Paramedics arrive & follow TAVI instructions & after monitoring & take him to UHCW. They arrive, no A&E beds. 2.30pm: I arrive & join him in the back of the ambulance. 6.30pm: a cubicle is available in A&E and

10 分鐘內	BestGirl20 bestgirl20	2/🧵I overhear there’s 84 walk-in patients (not to mention the 9 ambulance patients waiting outside.) As an aside: whilst in ambulance triage doc comes in & orders bloods. These are done in the ambulance. 9pm: chest x-ray done thanks to a frustrated porter who is told what we were waiting for. 11pm: ELEVEN HOURS AFTER PARAMEDICS PICKED HIM UP - he’s seen by a doc & is told he’ll need further tests but can’t be moved BECAUSE THERE ARE NO BEDS. He spends the next 3 hrs in an A&E bay.

That’s why there’s no specialists and surgeons as they were not in fact stealing any jobs from uk citizens as we don’t have many qualified people of this caliber. I wouldn’t want to stay in a country who had voted to leave Europe for bigoted reasons either.
