Entering the debate on the assisted dying bill, I have to say I am happy to see it has gotten through the first stage. I have watched my mother, my sister in law and most recently, my brother die of a terminal illness. It was not dignified, it was not painless and it was not what any of them wanted. I wonder if those who opposed this bill have watched the suffering of a loved one, ever? My life, my death, my choice.
