When people say this, they’re not talking to the Democratic voters. They’re talking to the people running the party. The messaging, the platform, the campaign decisions.

I mean, tanking Bernie’s campaign in order to push Hillary in 16 - that was pretty weak. Not bothering to run a primary to confirm Harris in 24… progressively drifting to the center over the last few decades, and ignoring the desires/values of their constituency… The only abuser in this relationship is the Democratic Party.

Yeah, except it’s not because this is an election, not a relationship. The candidate is asking for the vote of the people. The candidate has to perform well and EARN the vote. The people don’t owe the candidate a damn thing therefore, in this situation, YES the democrats need to look in the mirror and figure out what they did wrong that the people didn’t choose them.
