In 2015, when Trump began his run for president, every Christian I knew thought he was despicable—until he got the nomination. In 2016, I heard a lot of “held my nose and voted.” And today? He has not changed. Except to become even worse. So, so many people have left the church because it has traded its integrity for political power.
