POV: You woke as a person with a uterus in the United States Of America. I never considered sterilization until I woke up this morning. I felt safe with my IUD and lived in California where I had added protection to remain childfree by choice. Now living in a red state, I don’t feel safe. This is the last act of Bodily Autonomy that many of us will get to take.
