You can get a student visa and study at university for sure (not the route I took but I live in a uni town and we have lots of international students). Definitely look at cost of living and the work limits on your visa. BC is wicked expensive compared to Alberta. Not as sure about other provinces. Canada is also slowing it's roll with immigration. And we have housing shortages. It's also *not perfect* here and we have conservatives doing their thing so know that too.
