If I temporarily moved to Canada for 4-5 years on a visa, would it Canada just feel used?

6 months is the longest unless you get a work visa. They are only for specialist skills that we are lacking. You have to leave to reapply for a renewal of permit which isn't a certainty. If you wanted to come for years, you have to apply to emigrate, meet the criteria, pay the fees and then if you're successful, you can come. But that takes months and sometimes years for that process from application to a visa bring issued. Emigrating isn't easy. You have to have what your new country needs.

Okay. Maybe Costa Rica. Or Ireland. Scotland or Australia do sound nice. Last night I dreamt I was living in Mexico, walking a pet lizard on a string. True story.
