[I had a steady handful of regulars, whom I adore, who kept me uplifted.] For 📚 sales, I was also told that I should have not put my picture on my back book cover... My book cover, a depiction of a black woman w/ an Afro, they said, would keep my sales low. I'm an optimist, so I thought, "that can't be right"... Heartbroken optimist, here... That can't be right...
