65 years ago, in 1959, my dad asked my mom to be his girlfriend. She was 17 years old, he 21. He patiently waited for her to finish school and her qualification as teacher, and in 1965 they got married. Even after all these years, they still celebrate this day. It is my privilege to celebrate it with them today. A lifetime together.
