I'm feeling numb right now. I'm still trying to process how Trump won. One thought: I believe there is a subconscious desire among MAGA and others for authoritarianism/dictatorship. This desire seems fueled by voters' frustration with the sometimes agonizingly slow pace of democracy. Trump has extraordinary power over his party and his supporters. He spoke to that frustration crudely and cruelly but effectively. Democrats and the Harris campaign unfortunately misread the electorate.
