I’m scared too. I have seen mentions of us here and there, mostly from other disabled people. We need to find community in each other and do what we can to help us all get through this.

What can we do to help you feel supported?

Thinking about you. Project 2025 intends to eliminate Soc. Sec, Medicare/Caid, most likely disability aid of every sort will be on the chopping block. It’s bleak thinking about what these nazis plan to do, but we can’t put anything past em because they’ve promised so much horrendous shit. Took me a fair while to pick myself up from a place of utter despair and now I’m trying to lay out actual pathways to make some sort of use of myself…since voting turned out to be a goddamned bust.

I haven’t forgotten

I’m seeing it more on other platforms but that just might be because my family is a part of the community so we’re already surrounded by it. I’m gutted and absolutely terrified what this means for us. We’re all AuDHD, my youngest has Down Syndrome and is nonverbal. My oldest is non binary. My older girl is starting the journey to a hEDS diagnosis. My younger daughter is struggling hard the older she gets and I’ve been in burnout for nearly a decade and have chronic pain. We’re not okay. Yet!

Im also disabled, on Social Security. Im terrified of whats to come. Im actually leaving for mexico on saturday. I cant handle feeling like the promise of america has been ripped away. So I’m starting my journey to find better.
