I am Canadian. I am an empath and it’s been too much today. I have no idea how my American neighbours are processing today. 🇨🇦💔😿

I actually researched applying for asylum in Canada. I may need it.

Also an empath. Got ready this morning with no idea about the results yet, & I felt the strong urge to have something of my grandma’s on me & my sunstone “just in case” was what I kept hearing. Walked into work and could’ve cut the tension with a knife. Became the safe space for my coworkers. I’m beyond exhausted but preparing for tomorrow.

I cannot connect to the reality that this is what my fellow citizens want. I have dual U.S./Canadian citizenship and wish I could move back to Canada, but all my family and friends are here. I can’t think how to get through the next four years. Dems need angry and incredibly strong leadership.

I don’t remember a more difficult day to endure at work. This is so hard. I’m Canadian living in the US and plan to move back next year.
