The only way to drop prices is to stop buying whatever items you want reduced

Of all the price increases I’ve experienced during my lifetime there have been some reductions from the maximums but never a return to the previous lowest level.

Agree! There’s are also a couple of other things that can actually raise prices: tariifs, not enough workers to harvest crops so produce spoils, and something people don’t think about is all the safely regulations processing plants have in place can be overlooked by Trump and his cronies. There can be a lot of E. coli outbreaks on produce, chickens and pigs getting sick and who remembers the mad cow disease outbreak.

And somehow ppl don’t seem to get that. How in the world can Trump say he’s going to get grocery prices back to where they were in 2016? Before the pandemic?

That is why the false belief that the president has any control over inflation is so ridiculous. Congress could do something but they have too many big things to worry about like impeaching a president who committed no crime. Or attack people who don’t look like them or worship like them. You know the really important stuff.

Too bad more than half of the country doesn’t understand that.

Only thing going down is the size of everything. Shrinkflation.

Look up how deflation works. Mind blown!

I read an interesting post a couple days ago about inflation and how it’s back to the normal rate, and if we want grocery prices to go down that would be deflation, and actually bad for us and the American dollar.
