Very rarely. Unless it's someone I feel strongly about - which is the case with a new project I started. I think the trick here is to just extract one aspect of someone and build a new character and story around that.

Agree. As I was writing two characters in separate books, I could see them as real people I thought fitted the character, but only from the point of view of their appearance and nothing else. However, in my newest book, I wrote somebody specifically into it as I wanted them to be main character's love interest. Anybody who reads it and knows me will definitely know who it is as I was quite specific with their description!
