As a Canadian, having social media links with mostly like-minded Americans definitely had my perspective warped that they’re on a progressive track, that all the hype backing Harris would lead to a win. Social media echo chamber was real and thick. But these results have shown that most Americans, at their very core, still have unwavering conservative values. And looking at the votes from young men especially, these values seem to be in no danger of reforming anytime soon either.
