There is one thing that I’ve learned over the last 8 years and that is you can’t judge a book by its cover. My husband is a combat vet and is a foreman in the trades. He looks like a cranky old Gen X grandpa who wears HI-Vis and Carhartt’s. HE’S EXTREMELY LEFT! There are MANY like him, especially in unionized trades. He’s a tough guy who’s seen a lot in his lifetime. He was tearing up all day yesterday. Please be kind when you’re out and about. You never know who’s an ally.
