I understand it may make people feel better to say, “I’m from Philly, not Pennsylvania” and “I’m from Atlanta, not Georgia.” But as you say this, please remember that there are literally millions of people in red states, and red counties, who worked like hell for Harris and are every bit as devastated as those of you in blue states and counties. Painting with broad strokes — and we all do it sometimes — can have the unfortunate consequence of dividing the unified. I’m from Pennsylvania.
