Yeah but at a very limited amount and occassion. It also depends how long you are talking to each other and there's some sort of friendship built already e.g. sending a small gift for a birthday is a nice gesture. It also depends on your economic status. Most women spend on fictional men or celebrities they are into, spending on someone you like or fond of isn't an issue as long as it is not obligatory or significant in amount if you have that extra money to spend.
