DaVinci Resolve has too high of a learning curve for how little video I'm doing. I dislike Adobe and their subscription model. What're my options?

You can set resolve to match adobe keyboard shortcuts. maybe that helps? the learning curve for FCP is so much steeper because of the magnetic timeline.

Wondershare Filmora could be a great fit for you. Having said that, I am one of the many who exited the Filmora world and started using DaVinci Resolve because my so called “perpetual” license abruptly stopped working on MacOs 15. @filmora_editor apple

Here’s something wild. Like literally if all you do is some transitions, cuts, music, titles, basics, the built in MS Clipchamp (windows) or iMovie (Mac) is pretty simple and capable. I used to be an editor but can’t be bothered anymore and just use those.

Hate to be one of those people that don’t actually answer the original question 😂 But I edited a 10 minute video with no editing experience, in Resolve. However, it took me like 2 hours to find the right tutorial to get me familiar with moving around the platform, that wasn’t stale or annoying to watch. This was amazing: https://youtu.be/NoyDMKqo80U?si=yT4E8LhpUwoJol34 Shits so good my comment from 4 years ago is on there where I complimented the creator 😂
