Some relationships are changing, but I’m trying to find ways to build new local relationships in politically diverse spaces. I joined a Bible study a little while ago and I thought “these ladies would never show up on my algorithm. I need to learn to be in a space like this.” I can tell there are some in the group with wildly different hermeneutics -and news sources- than me. We might not become besties, but I want to find out if both I and they can learn to bear the tension of our differences.
