I will treat her like a queen. That is, assuming she offers to pay out of consideration for having an enjoyable moment or something of that vibe. If thats the case, im giving her the best of my best. Never happened to me before tho. Not even an offer. I prefer to pay for it myself, so not a problem. But until i read your post i never even consider the possibility of a woman actually offering let alone insisting to pay. Shes gotta be something else.

I'm a bit out of date on dating but I'd always move to pay (and expect to) but would not hesitate to split if she wanted to although I'd prefer a straight split than individual accounting but whatever works!

Preamble: im old and have been out of this game a long time (thank God). I hate arguing over money. I’d probably try to deflect it by giving her the opportunity to get the next one (assuming I want there to be a next one). If that didn’t work, I might just ask why it is so important to them. One thing I’m not going to do is make a big deal out of it.

I always come prepared to pay for us both but if she wants to pay for herself or pay for us both, she’s more than welcome to. Especially on a first date I could understand how women might assume guys would think if they pay for dinner, the woman owes them something after.

I would let her do as she wished, with the understanding that if we go on another date, it would be my turn to pay. Fair is fair.
