If you work out how to fix a dodgy controller port please post the fix, my silver toaster has been 1 Up-only for years.

you can probably make 2 or 3 of them working perfectly with all the parts 😅

That's pretty good. I like to challenge myself, too. But it's usually other people's stuff. There are not too many people who want to take the time to fix things.
