The fiber of this nation, the very soul it possesses, is one of hate. I tried, oh have I tried. I tried being the bigger person. I tried giving y’all the benefit of the doubt. I tried to believe this is not who we are. When you voted for him the first time, I could understand the novelty on a basic level. Not the kind of novelty I’d want running my country but whatever. I participated in marches, I did what I could to keep the world I lived in and those I love and care for as safe as possible.
