I have PCOS and this is the same doctor that told me it “shouldn’t really be affecting me” and it doesn’t require treatment…. As I’m on two medications for it and after years of mystery symptoms leading to my diagnosis. So that was the day I said fuck Dr Miller. I said I’m sorry, I’m gonna jump in right there. 1. Dr Miller is not my doctor, I don’t like her service and I want that in my record that I don’t want to be seen by her, ever. 2/?

I had a cervical biopsy done one time where they lasered off parts of my cervix and I had absolutely no pain medication, nor did that doctor prescribe anything for the pain he’d said I’d feel for a week… Let me add, they used Novocain and then lasered off parts of my body. I don’t think the Novocain helped AT ALL.

Someone I know has a tilted cervix and they dug a hole in her cervix and placed it, she was in so much pain for 4 days and went to get it removed. They apologized and said it wasn’t even actually placed into the openning of the cervix but just shoved into random tissue. No pain killers. Just an “oh sorry.” Fuck these doctors.

My daughter got one at planned parenthood a couple of months ago. They used sedation and gave a prescription for pain afterwards. It was a very good experience.

Yup. I may have to get another Pap smear because the doctor who did it last year didn’t bother to tell me my test results were positive for an STI that’s symptomless. When I told the nurse I was reluctant because last year, it was so painful to have the speculum inserted with no lube (allegedly it messes with the test???), I squeezed my phone so hard it enacted the crash detection and I broke skin in my other fist. Didn’t feel the swab, just stuck on the pain of the speculum. 1/2

My first IUD I thought I was gonna die. It was put in by a midwife (idek how that's legal to begin with) and she didn't notice the tilt in my uterus so it fell out. It was so badly misplaced that it didn't hurt being taken out. The second time it was an NP. She saw my back tilt, they didn't prescribe pain meds but because I remembered the pain she was about to start and I had a vasovagal response, almost passed out laying down. I wouldn't wish that pain on anyone.

My doctor offered it to me the last time I had an IUD put in.

I got one put in 2 weeks after a colposcopy and was told that my cervix would still be a little dilated from that so it wouldn't hurt much. If that was not as bad I can't even imagine how bad it normally is because I nearly threw up.
