I just watched a few of the Normandy vets being interviewed - sad to think that there's so few of them left. I can remember when I was growing up, it was First World War veterans who were the centenarians in wheelchairs. Particularly poignant note from one of the men interviewed, saying it was not an obligation for him to go - he was there to remember all those with whom he served.
