There are MCU fans that don't take Sam Wilson seriously because he was "Falcon" and maintains the same capabilities as he did back then. My feeling has always been, whether it be because of the writing, stunt coordination, or Anthony Mackie's natural damn charisma, Sam Wilson has OFTEN come out looking better than some higher profile characters. Now that he's in the title role of Captain America, he's not going to steal the show... He is the show. I'm hype.
