There are numerous things I’m deeply grieved by. One thing that is not adding to my sorrow, however, is having to get up and go to a church this morning that claims to care about me, while my pastor and fellow congregants completely ignore the hard and painful things that impact my lived reality. 1/5

20 小時內	Pat eeyore6771	Last year I decided to leave the church my husband and I joined in 2010. It's always been more conservative than I am but it was OK till he passed in 2019. I went back for awhile but after 2020, I haven't gone, just watched online. In January I started "going" to a UMC close to home. I'm still virtual (hard for me to get moving early in the a.m.) It's welcoming, inclusive but still traditional. Pastor was so supportive in her sermon today. I'm glad I made that change.
